The Ministry of Finance called on dealers with the second generation of the e-dirham card to quickly replace it with the new (third) generation, in order to be able to complete their official transactions in 14 government agencies, stressing that dealing with old cards will be stopped as of today, Thursday, September 24.
The ministry stated, in an official disclosure, that “dealers should quickly communicate with one of the banks that provide the new generation cards of e-dirham, which are: First Abu Dhabi Bank, Ras Al Khaimah National Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Commercial Bank of Dubai or National Bank of Fujairah, and that. To get the card that suits their needs ».
The «Finance» stated that the new generation card and the smart application allow the completion of transactions and payment of fees in 14 government agencies, including: the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the Department of Finance in Ajman, the Insurance Authority, Emirates Development Bank, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zayed University, Securities and Commodities Authority, Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, Al Etihad Credit Bureau, National Qualifications Authority.
The ministry added that customers who hold old cards can communicate with First Abu Dhabi Bank to recover the available balance, noting that new government agencies and national banks will join the system soon.
It is noteworthy that the new (third) generation of e-dirham includes three cards with different advantages. It is the "Hala Card" that is suitable for new customers who wish to pay one time, as it does not require registration or presentation of documents, and can be filled with a balance of up to 3500 A maximum of dirhams, in addition to the "Gold Card", which is a prepaid card with multiple options to top up the balance and suitable for multiple payment transactions and regular payments, and requires registration to provide an additional level of security, in addition to the "premium card", which is a prepaid card that is customizable and requires registration.
