The passenger throughput of Beijing Daxing International Airport exceeds 10 million

This marks the first time that the passenger throughput of Daxing Airport has exceeded 10 million passengers since it was put into operation.
Daxing Airport has been in operation for nearly a year. On March 29th, April 12th, April 26th, May 3rd, August 25th, 4 batches of flight transfers and 1 flight season change were completed to increase passenger throughput. Lay the foundation for the high-quality development of the airport.
Take China Southern Airlines as an example. At present, China Southern Airlines has transferred 80% of its flights in Beijing to Daxing Airport. In the future, it will build a Guangzhou-Beijing "dual hub". It is estimated that more than 200 aircraft will be put into Daxing Airport by 2025 and the number of passengers will reach 2,880 Million people.
At present, Daxing Airport operates 187 domestic routes, connecting 129 destinations across the country; the highest number of flights in a single day exceeded 660, and the highest number of passengers in a single day exceeded 92,000.
As of September 21, Daxing Airport has completed 84,000 takeoffs and landings, with a cargo and mail throughput of approximately 39,000 tons.
At present, Daxing Airport adopts self-service processing and inquiry equipment throughout the entire process of departure from the port of Daxing Airport, reducing the waiting time of passengers in line.
The airport can realize the whole process of "paperless" travel, and an upgraded version of face-swiping customs clearance will be launched soon.
Through RFID (radio frequency) luggage tags, passengers can learn about luggage information in real time and enjoy travel with confidence.
Daxing Airport’s catering and commerce have achieved the same quality and price in the same city; 38 landscapes and public art facilities in the terminal building also provide passengers with a new experience of waiting.
"In the future, city terminals will blossom in all directions." said Niu Quanwei, the transportation service business manager of the Public Area Management Department of Beijing Daxing International Airport.
