Beijing, September 18 (Reporter Qu Zhehan) The Ministry of Finance announced on the 18th the fiscal revenue and expenditure data for August: In August, the steady recovery of the economy led to a continuous improvement in fiscal revenue, and the general public budget revenue achieved positive growth for three consecutive months. The growth rate was 1 percentage point higher than last month, better than expected.
All localities have rushed to promote the implementation of major projects, and the progress of direct fund expenditures has been further accelerated, driving a rapid increase in general public budget expenditures.
The issuance and use of new local special bonds accelerated, which effectively boosted the economy.
In August, the national general public budget revenue was 1204.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, reflecting the further consolidation of the foundation for economic recovery growth.
The national general public budget expenditure was 1,642.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%.
In terms of taxation, the national tax revenue increased by 7% in August, mainly due to the steady recovery of industrial value-added, fixed asset investment, industrial profits and other growth rates, as well as the accelerated recovery of automobile and other industries.
From January to August, the national general public budget revenue was 12,267.6 billion yuan, the national tax revenue was 10,823.6 billion yuan, and the national general public budget expenditure was 1,49925 billion yuan.
Expenditures in key areas such as epidemic prevention and control, poverty alleviation, and grassroots "three guarantees" have been strongly guaranteed. Public health expenditures directly related to epidemic prevention and control increased by 70.2%, and poverty alleviation expenditures, social security and employment expenditures increased by 12.8% and 10.9% respectively.
According to the statistics of the direct fund monitoring system of the Ministry of Finance, as of August 31, the actual expenditure of 1.7 trillion yuan in direct funds had been 735.8 billion yuan, of which 712.5 billion yuan was spent at the grassroots level in cities and counties, accounting for 96.8%, reflecting the direct funds Policy effectiveness at the grassroots level.
