It is understood that Tongliang is located at a key node on the central axis of the Shuangcheng Economic Circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region. It is a bridgehead city in the metropolitan area of Chongqing, the hometown of Qiu Shaoyun and the hometown of Chinese folk art (dragon dance).
