Many assumptions of the pandemic are being overcome with time.

The most obvious is the one that presumed that the crisis would be short.

Also in question is the prediction that it would be a great wave of infections with small outbreaks (the "V" recovery model is the child of that assumption).

What we see are different waves of varying intensity.
