The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) confirmed that the success rate of completing phone calls on the two licensed networks: Emirates Telecommunications Company (Etisalat) and “Du” company of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, reached 100%, during the past year, indicating the availability of the exchange networks of the two companies 100% too.

In its report on the quality of services for mobile and fixed phone networks in the country for the year 2019, which it issued yesterday, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority stated that the two licensed companies recorded a high rate of network effectiveness, compared to the predetermined rate for them, which is 99.9%.

The report showed that the success rate of completing phone calls on the mobile network of "Etisalat" was 100% for the third generation, and 99.7% for the second generation, while it reached 99.9% for the third generation network, and 98%. 5% for the second generation network.

Regarding the success of establishing calls, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority indicated that the percentage of “Etisalat” reached 100% on the third generation network and 99.8% on the second generation network, while for “Du” it reached 99.9% and 99%, respectively, while it was recorded. The rates of disconnection of calls for the second and third generation are low, ranging between 0.04 and 0.06% over the past year for the third generation, and between 0.1 and 0.3% for the second generation.

The report also showed a clear increase and improvement in voice services, via mobile and fixed phones, over the past year.

The authority confirmed that the report was drawn up, to ensure that the licensees are able to apply quality standards in performance and adhere to the conditions of the license granted to them.

She indicated that the report was prepared based on information received from the licensees, on a quarterly basis, during the year 2019, as indicators are measured at an average monthly rate, and include the largest possible number of statistical representation of the actual network condition.
