(2020 Service Trade Fair) Service Trade Fair Business Opportunity: How can Chinese smart technology companies better "go overseas"?

China News Service, Beijing, September 6 (Lingyun) During the 2020 China International Trade in Services Fair, the heads of Chinese smart technology companies came to the exhibition with new products and concepts.

There are many ways to make intelligent services a global shared business opportunity.

Xia Huaxia, vice president and chief scientist of Meituan, said in an interview with reporters that the future development of artificial intelligence technology cannot be done behind closed doors and must rely on the cooperation and exchanges of scientific researchers from many countries.

For example, he said, Meituan has joined the University of California Berkeley DeepDrive Deep Learning Autonomous Driving Industry Alliance, hoping to promote the innovation and sharing of the two parties in the fields of autonomous driving, machine vision and artificial intelligence through cooperation with technical and academic teams.

"Openness is conducive to the common development of the industry." Xia Huaxia mentioned that Meituan released an open platform for unmanned distribution in 2018, which has collaborated with companies such as auto parts supplier Fario, Italy's Econa Design Group, and University of California Berkeley DeepDrive. The Deep Learning Autonomous Driving Industry Alliance has conducted extensive cooperation to jointly promote the development of the unmanned delivery industry.

For many service trade fair exhibitors, they hope to find a better way to "go to sea".

In the exhibition area of the China International Trade in Services Fair in 2020, the service robots displayed by Beijing Kangliyoulan Robot Technology Co., Ltd. attracted many visitors.

The most popular is the home-care and cooking multifunctional robot, which can analyze the user's living habits, dietary taste, health status, personal preference data, etc., and provide different cuisines.

At the exhibition site, the audience lined up, waiting to taste a delicious food made by robots.

According to Wang Sheng, the relevant person in charge of the overseas business of Kangliyoulan, the company began to explore the road of overseas development in 2016, and the pace of overseas development has accelerated in the past two years.

"China's service robots have certain competitiveness in overseas markets." Wang Sheng analyzed that China's technological development environment is superior, and the society has a high acceptance of high-tech products, which is conducive to the development of enterprises; the high-end electronic product industry chain is perfect and the cost is reduced. At the lowest level, it has a competitive advantage; the product development and iteration cycle is fast, the old and the new are constantly being introduced, and the research and development team is efficient.

"We industrialize high-tech products at the fastest speed and put them into daily life."

Wang Sheng gave an example. Recently, a French company ordered the company's robots and set up a special department to understand and learn about robot applications in order to better promote and apply them in France.

Different from the service robot field of "Kangliyoulan", the intelligent logistics section of Beijing Megvii Technology Co., Ltd. has also gone overseas and established a subsidiary in Japan in 2019.

Cheng Changshun, vice president of Megvii, introduced that the company has introduced mobile robot services to the factory of an automobile gearbox manufacturing company to help it carry out material handling tasks.

Due to the epidemic, Chinese domestic engineers were unable to carry out on-site debugging, so remote debugging was carried out and the project was successfully completed.

Why can it stand firm in Japan, where the robotics industry is more developed?

Cheng Changshun believes that the large scale of the Chinese market and a wide range of application scenarios have rapidly reduced the cost of robots and lowered the threshold for users; the company has invested heavily in software engineer team building and can continue to provide users with products and services.

"It's not enough for Chinese companies to go overseas and have good products. The key is to develop in-depth and pleasant cooperation with local companies." Cheng Changshun believes, "Overseas customers use our products and services to solve their pain points-reduce production costs and achieve logistics In the same way, we also need local companies to provide legal and regulatory support and services. This is a mutually beneficial and win-win process."

Wang Sheng also said that the launch of robot products overseas requires more voice communication platform companies to provide more voice support options.

"The development of the artificial intelligence industry must be the more people using it, the faster the cost will be reduced; the richer the application scenarios, the more convenient people's lives, and this requires cooperation with global companies and mutual services." (End)
