The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaber, emphasized that effective cooperation and partnership between the government and private sectors is one of the most important success factors for promoting industrial growth in the UAE.
He said that the industrial sector in the country possesses many solid foundations and strong competitive advantages that can be used and built upon, in addition to promising potentials and opportunities.
In detail, the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaber, said that the leadership in the UAE places the development of the industrial sector among the important priorities during the next stage, explaining that the sector has many promising potentials and opportunities to achieve the leadership's ambitions and play a pivotal role in strengthening the national economy, through Enabling industrial development, enhancing local added value, and increasing the competitiveness of national industries.
This came during Al Jaber's first meeting with the Industry Coordination Council, which was held virtually with the participation of the Minister of State for Advanced Technology, Sarah Al-Amiri, and members of the Council.
For the first time, the meeting witnessed the participation of a number of private sector representatives who presented their visions on developing the regulatory aspects and related policies in a way that would enable the sustainable growth of the industrial sector in the country.
During the meeting, Al-Jaber reviewed some of the main ideas to support the industrial sector, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Coordination Council for Industry and the private sector, directly and continuously, according to a new and innovative approach.
He said, “One of the most important success factors to enhance the growth of the industrial sector is effective cooperation and partnership between the government and the private sectors to prepare modern, advanced and stimulating legislative and regulatory frameworks that are able to deal with the current situation, and have high flexibility that enables them to provide the appropriate ground for change and achieve high growth rates in a way that promotes To the aspirations of our wise leadership, with a march full of success and achievement for decades to come.
Al Jaber added, “The industrial sector in the UAE has many solid foundations and strong competitive advantages that we can benefit from and build on, including world-class logistical infrastructure, abundant energy resources, an advanced position in technological innovation, and a distinguished educational level in artificial intelligence. , As these factors will help us in giving the local economy a strong push that qualifies it to keep pace with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
