The Cyan Racing team enabled the Volvo S60s to shine on the stage of the international touring car championship in 2017. This time, the team is tackling a myth of the Swedish brand: “We could have built a Electric Volvo P1800 with the latest technologies (Volvo and Polestar rely a lot on electric, editor's note) but that was not what we wanted, ”explains Christian Dahl, CEO of Cyan Racing.
He adds: “We preferred to make the most of the 60s, but by optimizing the technique to keep a pure and refined driving experience.
This is how a new P1800 was born, which claims 450 hp for barely 990 kg!

To achieve a lower weight per ton, the structure is made of high strength steel and carbon fiber.
Despite being a road car, it makes the connection to the racing world thanks to adjustable shocks and, as then, there is no traction control or ABS.

Under the hood, a 4-cylinder 2-liter turbo from competition, capable of delivering 420 horsepower to the rear wheels only, and whose maximum speed is close to 7,700 rpm!
Finally, in order not to modernize the P1800 too much, we opted for a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The price of this rather radical machine will only be communicated to those concerned.
