According to official sources at the Erlianhot Railway Port, this is the 1500th China-Europe Express train that has entered and exited through the Erlianhot Railway Port this year, 107 days earlier than last year, an increase of 42.8% year-on-year.
The Erenhot Railway Port is the most continental port between China and Mongolia, and one of the four ports for China's import and export of China-Europe Express, and it is also the shortest straight-line distance between North China and East China and Europe.
According to the official, as the epidemic prevention and control has become normalized, various domestic industries have accelerated the resumption of production and work, and the number of China-Europe express trains has also increased significantly. There are currently 7 to 8 columns per day.
Guo Zhenmin, a local imported timber trader, said: “During the peak of the epidemic in February and March, due to the fact that domestic companies did not start operations, we basically couldn’t make one train of timber imports a week. Now there are at least three or four trains a week.”
