JR East next spring To the final train in the metropolitan area about 30 minutes to advance to September 3 10:58 on September 3

From next spring, JR East has decided to accelerate the last train time by about 30 minutes for routes in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

We would like to secure the time for maintenance and inspection of the railroad tracks after the last train to help improve the working environment of workers.

According to the person concerned, the Yamanote Line, which operates on the Tokyo metropolitan area after 1:00 am, as well as the Chuo Line and Sobu Line are covered.



According to the schedule revision next spring, the policy is to shorten the time of the last train by about 30 minutes, thereby reducing the number of trains operating in the middle of the night.



Also, on some routes, it is considered to delay the first departure time.



JR East was considering advancing in order to secure the time for maintenance and inspection work on the railroad tracks after the last train and to improve the working environment for workers.



Regarding the last train, JR West has also decided to start the last train on main routes in the Kansai area by about 30 minutes at maximum from next spring.
