The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, will deliver the keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the third virtual session of the World Summit on Industry and Industrialization 2020, which is held on the fourth and fifth of this September, with the participation of 100 speakers from the leaders of the global industrial sector, and in the presence of the presidents of Brazil, Angola, Armenia and Ghana, in addition to the Crown Prince The era of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, who discuss the role of the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in reshaping the future of the industrial sector, strengthening global value chains, and restoring global economic activity in the post-Coronavirus phase.


According to a statement issued yesterday, the main session of the virtual conference of the summit will bring together the Angolan President, Joao Manuel Gonçalves Lawrence, the Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-AD, and the Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission, Albert Mushanga, to discuss the German "Marshall with Africa" ​​plan.


 The plan aims to employ the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to accelerate economic growth and achieve comprehensive and sustainable industrial development in Africa.


Germany has made Africa the focus of its presidency of the G20 and adopted this cooperative initiative with African countries to help promote entrepreneurship and innovation and create 20 million new jobs annually for young people on the African continent.


The session will discuss the opportunities that must be provided to stimulate the industrial sector in the African continent and the role of decision-makers, development partners and the private sector in creating these opportunities through various initiatives such as the "Marshall with Africa" ​​plan.


The Angolan President said: "We must be able to benefit from the tremendous potential that characterizes the African continent by focusing on meeting the needs of our youth by providing them with opportunities for education and advanced training, especially in the field of Fourth Industrial Revolution techniques, which contribute greatly to achieving comprehensive and sustainable industrial development in Continent.


For his part, Armenian President, Dr. Armen Sarkissian, said, "Internet connectivity and facilitating access to digital technology are essential conditions for achieving prosperity, but the epidemic threatens to widen the digital divide that already exists between men and women, between remote and urban areas, and between developed and less developed countries." .


In turn, the Jordanian Crown Prince, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, said: “We have all witnessed the decisive role that advanced technologies have played in mitigating the economic consequences of the epidemic through their contribution to the conduct of business and vital activities around the world, and we must develop a new road map for the global economy within which all Efforts to accelerate the development of digital technologies and their employment in all parts of the world, especially in developing countries. "
