<Reporter Deokki Yoo> The

criterion for the person

obligated to

support has been regarded as the main cause of the blind spot of poverty.

This is because there were many poor people who could not properly receive both living and medical benefits because they had family members who could support them. By 2022, this standard for those who are obligated to support them will be phased out of livelihood benefits.

When selecting people who are eligible for livelihood benefits next year, the criteria for those who are obligated to support the elderly and single-parent households will be removed. 157,000 new households will receive a maximum of 1.46 million won per month for four-member households.

The basic pension and the disabled pension are paid differently according to their current income. Next year, the entire beneficiary can receive 300,000 won per month.

A large amount of budget has also been allocated to the employment safety net.

Employment insurance premiums are newly provided to 465,000 low-income artists and specially employed workers, and 500,000 won per month to 400,000 job-seekers from disadvantaged groups, and a job search promotion allowance for up to 6 months.

In addition, the subject of free high school education is expanding from the current 2nd and 3rd graders to all grades.

The salary of soldiers is also increased by 12.5% to boost morale of military personnel, which is more than 600,000 won per sergeant.
