The exchange rate on the Tokyo foreign exchange market on the 31st of the week, and the yen exchange rate, showed a modest price movement.

Market officials said, ``The sway in the financial markets has settled down due to Prime Minister Abe's resignation last weekend, and Japan's large-scale monetary easing policy will continue, leading to a move to sell yen and buy back the dollar. This week, important economic indicators such as employment statistics will be announced one after another in the United States, and the trend of the LDP's election of the Governor is likely to be a factor for making a decision in the domestic market."
