  Large American technology stocks were mixed. Apple fell 0.16%, Amazon rose 0.05%, Netflix fell 0.45%, Google rose 0.67%, Facebook rose 0.15%, and Microsoft rose 1.03%.

  American Airlines stocks rose collectively. Boeing rose 0.95%, American Airlines rose 2.33%, Delta Airlines rose 3.73%, Southwest Airlines rose 3.13%, and United Airlines rose 3.09%.

  US energy stocks rose collectively. Exxon Mobil rose 2.42%, Chevron rose 0.81%, ConocoPhillips rose 0.63%, Schlumberger rose 3.9%, and Occidental Petroleum rose 0.61%.

  U.S. gold stocks rose, Harmony Gold rose more than 12%, Jintian rose 6.86%, and Kinross Gold rose more than 5%.

  Popular Chinese concept stocks were mixed. Alibaba rose 1.67%, JD rose 0.83%, Baidu rose 1.38%; iQiyi rose 9.28%, Weibo rose 6.12%, Shell rose 6.06%, Xiaopeng Motor rose 5.47%, Bilibili rose 4.98%, Pinduoduo rose 0.43%; Youxin fell 13.33%, Ideal Auto fell 9.18%, Weilai Automobile fell 6.94%, and NetEase fell 1.51%.

  In terms of European stocks, the three major European stock indexes fell collectively. The British FTSE 100 index closed at 5,963.57 points, down 36.42 points, or 0.61%; the French CAC40 index closed at 5002.94 points, down 13.03 points, or 0.26%; the German DAX index fell 63.16.
