Peixie Village, Xiaochi Town, Xinluo District, Longyan City, in western Fujian, was originally a provincial-level poor village. After being awarded the honorary title of "China Taobao Village" by the Ali Research Center, it became the first Taobao village in Fujian. Through the transformation and upgrading of the three industries, Peixie Village boldly takes the lead, applies "Internet+" to integrate the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, promotes the development of industry, trade, tourism and rural e-commerce, and transforms Peixie Village from a "blood transfusion type" poor village to a Industry-supported "hematopoietic" demonstration village.

Lai Jianwei is a young entrepreneur born in Peixie Village who has returned to his hometown after the 1980s. Since entering the peak season for bamboo mats, he has been busy live broadcasting and interacting with netizens at home. After graduating from university, he just started to work in a company. After the rise of e-commerce in his hometown, he caught the business opportunity of Taobao in rural areas and returned to his hometown in 2014 to start his e-commerce career.

Speaking of the gains brought by rural e-commerce over the years, he said with a smile, "Using the Internet to find a job at home, I can ask my family for help during peak seasons, and I can also make some money. Now I send my children to the city to study, and I bought them in the city. house."

Under the epidemic, new situations have emerged in rural e-commerce. In order to adapt to the new format, Lai Jianwei is also trying to live broadcast the goods in his own online store. He believes that netizens have a more intuitive understanding of the product.

"At the beginning of the live broadcast, I felt a little bit embarrassed to speak. Later, I left the product at home and closed the door to explore and see how my peers started the live broadcast. Since I was very familiar with the craftsmanship of bamboo mats, I quickly got started. ." Lai Jianwei said.

As the bamboo weaving industry is one of the pillar industries in Peixie Village, the workers are busy in the Xingyu Bamboo Products Factory in the village. Wu Bichai, the person in charge of the factory, told reporters that in recent times, orders have been endless. The output value is about 10 million yuan (RMB, the same below), which has promoted employment for many local and surrounding villagers.

The Taobao industry and the bamboo mat industry in Peixie Village complement each other and promote the sales and development of local agricultural products, especially the bamboo mat industry. Most of the young people in the village choose to operate bamboo mats, bamboo weaving, and chopsticks on the Internet. At present, Taobao Village has 20 Taobao physical stores, operates more than 120 online stores, and employs more than 200 people, attracting 18 college students from the village to return to their hometowns to start businesses. "In the past, our village was very poor, but now we have developed rural e-commerce and rural tourism, and the people have become rich." Hua Jinxian, Party branch secretary of Peixie Village, has witnessed the changes in Peixie Village over the past two decades. He said that the bamboo mat products in the village are not only sold to large and medium-sized cities across the country, but also exported to Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. According to statistics, the annual output value of bamboo products in the village reached 160 million yuan in 2019.

The "cooperative + poor households" poverty alleviation project was also rated as a "national tourism poverty alleviation demonstration project" by the National Tourism Administration.

According to reports, in recent years, Peixie has developed research and experience tourism projects to promote the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry from sightseeing to leisure and vacation experience-style rural tourism. Nowadays, the village-level collective economy continues to grow, the appearance of the village has been renewed, the people's life is prosperous and harmonious, and the grassroots atmosphere is improving.
