He gave an example: From January to July this year, Guangdong Province completed 106.27 billion yuan of fixed-asset investment in highways and waterways, completing 81.7% of the annual target, an increase of 5.8% year-on-year. From January to July, Sichuan Province completed 94.84 billion yuan of fixed asset investment in highways and waterways, accounting for 71% of the annual target, a year-on-year increase of 13%. In Shandong Province, the annual transportation infrastructure investment task was increased from 184.2 billion yuan to 231.7 billion yuan, a record high in history.

  Sun Wenjian also introduced the progress of major transportation projects. As of the end of July this year, the Ministry of Transport has focused on tracking 232 major projects of “10 billion or more” with a resumption rate of 100%, and overall construction progress is better than expected.

  In addition, the increase in freight volume realized the first negative change to positive 0.3% in May, 3.9% in June and 2.9% in July.
