On the 19th, China’s first 12-inch automotive-grade power semiconductor automated wafer manufacturing center project was signed to settle in the Lingang New Area. The project plans to invest 12 billion yuan (RMB, the same below). The largest foreign investment project in Shanghai, the Tesla Super Factory project, settled in the Lingang New Area, took only 5 months from signing the contract to obtaining the construction permit, and once became the "spokesperson" of the "Lingang Speed". A year ago, at the unveiling ceremony of the new Lingang area, Tao Lin, Tesla's global vice president, once said that the new area has enough layout to carry Tesla's dream.
After the Tesla Gigafactory project was started, put into production and delivered that year. "Jinping Technology's new energy project only took 4 months from signing to obtain the construction permit, which is one month faster than the Tesla Super Factory project." Zhu Zhisong said.
In just three months, the construction of all walls, roads, and bayonet gates in the 14.27 square kilometer phase one of the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone was completed and passed the acceptance. In May of this year, the only "special" comprehensive protection zone in China was officially unveiled.
