Data show that China Telecom's operating income in the first half of the year was 193.8 billion yuan, an increase of 1.7%; its net profit was 13.95 billion yuan, an increase of 0.3%. China Mobile's operating income in the first half of the year was 389.9 billion yuan, an increase of 0.1%; net profit was 55.8 billion yuan, a decrease of 0.5%. The operating income of China Unicom in the first half of the year was 150.397 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%; the net profit was 3.344 billion yuan, an increase of 10.9% year-on-year.
According to calculations, the total revenue of the three major operators in the first half of 2020 will be about 734 billion yuan, net profit will be 73.09 billion yuan, and the average daily profit will be about 406 million yuan.
In terms of the number of users, as of the end of June 2020, China Mobile had 887 million users, including 649 million 4G users; the total number of China Unicom users reached 310 million, and the average monthly data traffic of mobile phone users reached About 9.4GB. The number of China Telecom users reached 343 million, a net increase of 7.9 million, and 5G package users reached 37.84 million.
According to the previous economic operation of the communications industry in the first half of 2020 released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first half of 2020, China's telecom business revenues totaled 692.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%; of which, fixed communications business revenue was 236.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%; Revenue from mobile communications services was 456.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%.
