Rolf Michl, Marketing Manager for Audi Sport, spoke to our colleagues at Autocar. We learn that each sports model will be entitled to a single engine and without much surprise, each will inherit electrification. This process has already been started with the Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback which incorporate a 48V main electrical system.
RS4 plug-in hybrid in 2023
Rolf Michl also recalled that the next RS4 Avant will be a plug-in hybrid. It is expected for 2023 and the same year, Audi could present its first all-electric RS model: the e-tron GT RS.
