Bentley Blower - DR

In September 2019, for its 100th anniversary, Bentley announced a new project: to recreate the 4 ½ liter Bentley Blower which raced at Le Mans in 1930. Bentley owns one of the four original cars and dismantled it for list the 630 pieces. Almost a year later, assembly of the first prototype began. It must be said that we had to find different craftsmen capable of recreating elements similar to the original parts of the pre-war period.

A trend in the air?

This is precisely where Bentley's approach is perhaps part of what is socially acceptable today: employing craftsmen from his country. Indeed, to recreate the chassis, Bentley turned to Israel Newton & Sons Ltd; for other elements, The Vintage Car Radiator Company; for engine parts, to NDR Ltd. We could still name other companies but they all have one thing in common: they are based in the United Kingdom.

This first prototype should be unveiled this fall but only after being presented to the 12 future owners of this very limited series.
