"Since July, employers must pay current social contributions. They can, however, ask to defer their employer contributions in case of difficulty," recalls the fund, adding that for self-employed workers, "normal recovery resumes in September" .

A repayment spread out up to 36 months for VSEs and SMEs

Since the start of the crisis, more than two million self-employed people have benefited from it for 6.9 billion euros, as well as 700,000 companies for a cumulative amount of 14.2 billion euros. SMEs and VSEs will be able to spread the reimbursement of the deferral of charges from which they benefited during the crisis up to 36 months, according to a measure adopted in the framework of the third amending finance law for 2020 voted in July. The duration of the spread "will depend on the situation of the company and will be discussed between Acoss (national fund of the Urssaf) and companies", one explained to AFP in Bercy.

Self-employed workers will receive for their part in August "a schedule based on a 2020 provisional income reduced by 50% by the Urssaf, in order to postpone the payment of contributions postponed during the crisis to the second half of 2021", according to the press release. . But this schedule will be adjustable for those who wish "in order to limit the extent of the regularization in 2021". "Debt relief may be granted to the most troubled companies, when they do not benefit from exemptions and payment assistance", also indicates Urssaf.
