Sino-Singapore Jingwei Client, August 4, US Eastern time Monday, the three major US stock indexes closed up. The Dow closed up more than 230 points, and the Nasdaq rose more than 150 points to a record closing high. The stock prices of Microsoft and Apple have also set record highs.

  As of the close, the Dow rose 236.08 points, or 0.89%, to 26,664.40; the Nasdaq rose 157.52 points, or 1.47%, to 10,902.80; the S&P 500 index rose 23.49 points, or 0.72%, to 3,294.61 points.

  Large American technology stocks were mixed. Apple rose 2.52%, Amazon fell 1.67%, Netflix rose 1.99%, Google fell 0.35%, Facebook fell 0.67%, and Microsoft rose 5.62%.

  US energy stocks were up and down. Exxon Mobil rose 0.43%, Chevron rose 1.06%, ConocoPhillips fell 1.82%, Schlumberger rose 3.25%, and Occidental Petroleum fell 3.05%.

  American Airlines stocks were mixed, with Boeing up 2.68%, American Airlines down 0.36%, Delta Air Lines up 0.96%, Southwest Airlines up 2.2%, and United Airlines up 1.56%.

  In terms of popular Chinese concept stocks, Alibaba rose 2.75%, JD rose 1.16%, Baidu rose 0.96%; Moxian rose 71.91%, Anbo Education rose 40.91%, Xunlei rose 16.26%, Pinduoduo rose 4.61%, and Weilai Motor rose 13.82 %; 360 Finance fell 19.19%, Mogujie fell 15.41%, Leju fell 8.54%, Wangdao fell 8.48%.

  Blockchain concept stocks in U.S. stocks generally rose, Marathon Patent rose 88%, and Riot Blockchain rose 32%.

  In terms of other individual stocks, ADT rose by more than 56%, and reports said that Google will acquire a 6.6% stake in ADT for $450 million. Kodak bucked the trend and fell more than 32%. Last week, the stock rose 940%.

  In terms of economic data, the American Institute of Supply Management reported on Monday that the US manufacturing index rose to 54.2 in July from 52.6 a month ago, the highest level in 15 months, and higher than the consensus expectation of 53.6.

  In European stock markets, the three major European stock indexes collectively rose. The London Stock Market "Financial Times" average price index of 100 stocks on the 3rd closed at 6032.85 points, an increase of 135.09 points or 2.29% over the previous trading day. The DAX index of the Frankfurt stock market in Germany rose 333.62 points on the 3rd, or 2.71%, to close at 12646.98 points. The CAC40 index of the Paris stock market in France closed at 4875.93 points on the 3rd, an increase of 92.24 points or 1.93% from the previous trading day.

  In terms of international oil prices, the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures price for September delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by 0.74 US dollars, or 1.8%, to close at 41.01 US dollars per barrel. The price of Brent crude oil futures for October delivery on the London Intercontinental Exchange rose by US$0.63, or 1.5%, to close at US$44.15 per barrel.

  In terms of international gold prices, the most active December gold futures price on the New York Mercantile Exchange gold futures market rose 0.4 US dollars over the previous trading day on the 3rd, closing at US$ 1986.3 per ounce, an increase of 0.02%.
