3 beef bowl chains to stop serving sake at stores in Tokyo on July 31, 20:23

In response to Tokyo's demand for shorter hours at restaurants that serve sake, Sukiya, Yoshinoya, and Matsuya of the beef bowl chain all discontinue serving sake at stores in Tokyo, and generally I decided to do the same business.

The three major gyudon chain chains are not reducing the business hours in response to Tokyo's demand for shortening business hours at restaurants that provide liquor, but rather to provide liquor at stores in Tokyo. By quitting the principle, I decided to open as usual.

Of these, Sukiya has 253 stores, Yoshinoya has 199 stores, and Matsuya has 332 stores. All of these will stop serving sake from August 3 to 31.

Regarding this response, Yoshinoya says, "We will continue to do our utmost as much as possible in consideration of the safety aspects of people and employees who need food while responding to the request of the government."
