The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority said today that the rate of inflation in consumer prices in the country decreased by 2.36% on an annual basis during last June compared to the same month in 2019, to continue to decline for the eighteenth consecutive month.

The data showed that the prices of 7 basic groups of spending have decreased: housing, water, electricity and gas by 2.9%, transportation services by 11.1%, household equipment and appliances by 3.4%, health services by 0.14%, and recreation and culture prices have decreased by 18.7. Restaurants, hotels, hotels increased by 2.2%, communications by 0.2%, while the 5 main groups of expenditures rose, the food and beverage group increased by 5.7%, tobacco by 6.7%, clothing and footwear by 10.7%, education 1.01%, and miscellaneous goods and services
