SoftBank Group Established a subsidiary for PCR testing with saliva July 29, 22:19

SoftBank Group has established a subsidiary to carry out PCR test using saliva to confirm the infection of new coronavirus. Our policy is to verify the effects of inspections and provide inspections widely.

It is said that the PCR test using saliva can be performed more easily than the test in which the inner part of the nose is wiped to collect a sample, and the burden of infection control on the side of the test can be reduced.

In order to verify the accuracy of this test and its effect on preventing the spread of infection, SoftBank Group has established a subsidiary and will carry out research in collaboration with the National Center for Global Health and Medicine.

Using a PCR test kit that uses saliva as a sample, we first started a test test for group employees, and we plan to implement it for professional baseball/Fukuoka Softbank Hawks players in the future. And from around autumn this year, we would like to provide test kits to the desired local governments and companies so that they can carry out tests at the actual cost.

The SOFTBANK Group is uniquely advancing efforts to prevent the spread of infection, including the announcement of the results of the antibody test for the new coronavirus targeting more than 40,000 employees, business partners and medical institutions.
