They protest against a plan of voluntary departures. More than 100 employees of the Travaux du Midi company, a subsidiary of Vinci Construction, blocked the construction site of the Ikea store in Nice on Tuesday. "The site has been completely stopped, no one has returned," said Raphaël Cafieri, staff representative of Travaux du Midi Provence.

According to this representative, of the 360 production employees employed by Travaux du Midi, some 180 are affected by this voluntary departure plan (PDV) which, according to him, could switch to a job protection plan (PSE) if the quota of departures is not filled with the POS. The elected official fears that this is a "pretext" to replace CDI by CDD.
