At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Bentley presented 3D machined wood on its Exp 10 Speed 6 concept. This novelty had greatly impressed the press and enthusiasts of the automotive world. More than 5 years later, after 18 months of development to be added to the catalog, this option is available on the Flying Spur, the latest flagship of the British brand.
Walnut or cherry
These three-dimensional pieces of wood can be admired at the rear, of course, of the Flying Spur. Each piece is made from a block of walnut or American cherry, two very noble and sought-after woods. To achieve such a result, Bentley can count, as always, on highly skilled craftsmen who use a multi-axis milling machine with a tolerance of 0.1 mm, which is less than the thickness of some hair!
