Work from home Half of people “work efficiency improved” New Corona 23th July 4:05

After the spread of the new coronavirus, half of the people who worked from home said that they felt that their work efficiency had improved.

The Japan Productivity Center, a public interest incorporated foundation, conducted this survey on the 6th and 7th of this month on the Internet for 1100 workers aged 20 and over excluding self-employed people.

Among them, 20.2% answered that they are doing telework such as working from home to prevent infection with the new coronavirus.

This is about 11 points lower than the previous survey in May, and it can be seen that the cancellation of the emergency declaration is returning to work at the office.

In addition, when asked about the efficiency of work from those who continued to work from home,
9.9% of respondents said that
"there was an increase" and 40.1% said that "there was a slight increase"
.

On the other hand, there are many people who point out that "I'm worried that the work results will be evaluated appropriately" or "Equity evaluation with employees who work in the office" as issues in the labor management of telework.

Akira Kakioka, senior researcher at the Japan Productivity Center, said, "Companies are at the stage of trial and error as to what kind of people are suitable for telework. The number of people doing telework keeps increasing and decreasing according to infection status I will do it."
