China News Service, Beijing, July 21 (Reporter Pang Wuji) The "Third-party Evaluation Report on the Heat of Reform in the Second Quarter of 2020" issued by the China Economic System Reform Research Society on the 21st stated that in the second quarter of 2020, China's reform heat index was 66.88. , An increase of 1.67 over the first quarter.

The evaluation of reform fever mainly covers six areas. Compared with the first quarter, in addition to the social field, the scores of the five major areas of economy, politics, culture, ecology, and party building all increased in the second quarter, with the ecological field rising the most.

The "Reform Heat Index" research team of the China Economic System Reform Research Association believes that the improvement of the epidemic prevention and control situation and the recovery of major economic indicators are the background reasons for the increase in the reform heat index in the second quarter.

In addition, the policies issued by the central government to support small, medium and micro enterprises, promote the employment of college graduates, accelerate the reform of factor marketization, and improve the socialist market system have also made significant contributions to the rebound of the reform fever index in the second quarter.

From the perspective of urban agglomerations, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region continues to rank first. The reform enthusiasm index in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region was 70.02, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (excluding Hong Kong and Macao) reform enthusiasm index was 69.44, and the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration reform enthusiasm index was 68.43, all higher than the national average. The Yangtze River Delta city cluster covers a wide area and has a large number of radiating cities. The heat index is relatively weaker than that of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (excluding Hong Kong and Macao).

From a regional perspective, the eastern region ranks first, slightly higher than the central region, the western region is the lowest, and the northeast region has a significant increase. In the second quarter, the reform enthusiasm indexes in the eastern, central, northeastern, and western regions were 68.07, 68.04, 66.76, and 65.39, respectively, which all increased from the previous quarter. Among them, the northeast and western regions saw a larger increase.

In the second quarter, cities such as Tianjin, Chongqing, Kunming, Jinan, and Lanzhou were at the forefront of reforms, and cities in the western region performed better overall. (Finish)
