Maserati Ghibli - DR

While the name "Hybrid" suggests a car capable of evolving a few km in 100% electric mode, this is not quite the case here. The Ghibli Hybrid should be called a "light hybrid" because, in practice, it only receives a larger 48V battery and an electric compressor that operates at low speeds. The energy recovered during deceleration is stored and reused during acceleration in order to reduce CO2 emissions. This system will be coupled to a 2.0 turbo 330hp four-cylinder engine, the “smallest” engine in the Maserati range at present, the Trident brand being used to V6s and other V8s. The price has not yet been announced.

The first fully electric Maseratis will be the GranTurismo and GranCabrio, expected in 2021.
