The average income per person in Spain is 11,680 euros, a figure that represents an increase of 2.3% and the highest figure since 2010, which is as far as the Living Conditions Survey carried out by the National Statistics Institute ( INE). However, that rebound is the most moderate since 2014, when the path of falls reversed by the financial crisis was reversed. And, in addition, one in four people is still at risk of poverty or social exclusion .
This is what Statistics concludes in the aforementioned survey, the latest edition of which was published this Tuesday. The work is relative to 2019, but made with income data from 2018, so that since then more or less significant changes have been possible. But even so, what is evidenced both by this year's survey and the evolution of the last ones is that the average income per person shows moderate data, and that Spain presents a notable problem of people at risk of poverty and families with a very high purchasing power. limited.
A good example of the latter is that the same INE work shows that 33% of families say they do not have the capacity to go for a week's vacation , and a very similar percentage "did not have the capacity to face unforeseen expenses."
