“The measures taken by the G20 to support the economy and the population both at the national and international levels were effective and timely, which allowed us to prevent the implementation of the most negative scenarios for the development of the global economy,” RIA Novosti quoted Siluanov as saying.

Siluanov also noted an unprecedented in scope package of measures to support the economy that Russia has taken.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Finance of Russia estimated the anti-crisis package due to coronavirus at 4 trillion rubles.

In early May, the head of the Ministry of Finance, Anton Siluanov, estimated the total amount of support for the economy in 2020 in a pandemic in more than 6.5% of GDP.
