  "Report" pointed out that CIER is China's job market prosperity index, reflecting the overall trend and prosperity of my country's job market. This indicator reflects the changes in the ratio of job vacancies to the number of job seekers in the job market through dynamic changes in supply and demand indicators such as different industries, different regions, different city levels, and different types of businesses.

The employment prosperity index for the third quarter is expected to decline year-on-year

  "Report" pointed out that the CIER index for the second quarter of 2020 was 1.35, lower than the 1.43 in the first quarter, and also lower than 1.89 in the same period last year. According to past experience, the demand for employment will rise in the second quarter, while the job-hopping fever will become more rational after the Spring Festival, and the graduation season of colleges and universities will come, the increase in job application will decline. Affected by the epidemic this year, college graduates have extended their job search time and are more dependent on online job search channels. The number of job applicants in the second quarter still increased significantly. From a quarter-to-quarter perspective, the number of recruitment needs and the number of job applicants increased by 34.74% and 42.55% respectively this quarter. Due to the relatively larger increase in the number of job applicants, the CIER index was lower than the previous quarter. On a year-on-year basis, due to the continuous impact of the epidemic situation at home and abroad, the number of recruitment needs decreased by 9.89%. At the same time, the size of job seekers increased by 25.82%, and the CIER index was lower than the level in the second quarter of 2019.

  The "Report" also pointed out that the forecast based on the measurement model shows that the periodic component of the CIER index in the third quarter of 2020 will be lower than the second quarter of 2020, the trend component will also be lower than the second quarter, and the seasonal factors will increase. On the whole, the CIER index in the third quarter of 2020 will be higher than that in the second quarter of 2020, but it will still be lower than the same period last year.

Especially for occupations such as mechanics/operators, film and television/media/publishing/printing, community/residents/housekeeping services and health care/beauty/hairdressing/fitness, the number of recruiting needs has increased by more than 50%. The increase in the number of recruitment needs for cooking/cooking/food R&D and education/training occupations is less than the number of job applicants, while the CIER index has decreased sequentially.

  Compared with the same period of last year, the number of recruitment needs of most occupations may decrease, or the increase will be less than the number of job applicants, resulting in a year-on-year decline in the CIER index; the demand for video anchors in the film, television, media, publishing, and printing professions has grown rapidly, and the number of recruitment needs for this occupation has increased year-on-year. At 204.53%, the CIER index increased by 6.70 from the same period last year.

  The occupations with lower CIER index are still mainly IT management/project coordination, procurement/trade, senior management, sales administration/commerce and project management/project coordination.

The employment situation in the Yangtze River Delta is relatively good

  The "Report" mentions that 55 sample cities are classified according to the division of administrative regions to obtain the CIER index for different administrative regions in the second quarter of 2020. The results show that the CIER index in the eastern region is the highest in the second quarter of 2020, the CIER index in the northeast region is the lowest, and the CIER index in the central and western regions is close.   The "Report" pointed out that the CIER index of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region was 0.61 this quarter, and the job market was still relatively tight. From a quarter-on-quarter perspective, affected by the increase in the number of recruiting needs, the region’s CIER index rose month-on-month; from a year-on-year perspective, the number of recruiting demand decreased by 22.16%, and the number of job applicants decreased by 10.04%. The employment situation in Shijiazhuang and Qinhuangdao in the region is still relatively better, and the employment competition in Beijing and Tianjin is still relatively fierce. Beijing's CIER index was 0.23 this quarter, and the job market is more competitive. Among them, in April and May, the Beijing CIER index was 0.21 and 0.22 respectively.   "Report" also pointed out that the employment situation in the Yangtze River Delta is still relatively good. From a quarter-on-quarter perspective, the number of recruiting needs in the Yangtze River Delta region increased by 25.70%, which was greater than the increase in the number of job applicants, and the CIER index rose month-on-month. In the region, cities such as Changzhou, Xuzhou, Zhenjiang, and Jiaxing experienced a large increase in the number of recruitment needs, and the CIER index rebounded significantly. On a year-on-year basis, the number of recruitment needs in the Yangtze River Delta region decreased by 15.64%, especially in cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuxi, and Ningbo, where the number of recruitment needs fell relatively.
