The General Authority of Civil Aviation stated that it allowed travelers to carry a hand sanitizer with a capacity of up to 250 milliliters within their hand luggage at the country's airports.
The Authority indicated in its accounts on social media, that this exception is temporary due to the current circumstances and applies until further notice.
The commission recommended that individuals planning to travel to follow a set of important steps in the framework of the preventive measures and measures taken by the UAE to combat the spread of the new Corona virus and the conviction of the authority that the safety and health of people is a top priority.
The «Civil Aviation» confirmed that it recommended the state airports to organize the physical distance between the public of passengers when entering the registration area or the security inspection area and in the rows, noting that the travelers should pay attention to the directions in the airport and any other instructions issued by the employees in order to maintain the necessary distances between them.
The commission also recommended that, when passing through security checkpoints, travelers continue to adhere to wearing masks, stating that this procedure does not eliminate the necessity of taking off the muzzle when ordering to verify the identity of the traveler’s face.
It also recommended travelers to adhere to personal hygiene at security checkpoints, such as washing hands or cleansing hands before and after completing security checks, as well as placing personal property such as wrist watch, wallet, mobile phone, etc. in their hand luggage before being exposed to an X-ray machine.
