Major consumer goods manufacturer Iris Ohyama Mask production started in Japan at 9:55 on July 9th

Iris Oyama, a major manufacturer of daily necessities, has begun producing masks in Japan on the 9th and supplies masks with improved breathability so that they will not get damp even in the summer.

Iris Oyama manufactures masks at its own factory in China, but we installed equipment at a factory in Kakuda City, Miyagi Prefecture to start more stable production in Japan, and started production on the 9th.

Most of the production process is automated and can produce 1.5 million pieces per day.

Most of the masks we produce use special thin fibers compared to conventional masks, which makes them highly breathable and keeps the temperature of the face from rising when worn.

By August, the number of lines will be increased to produce one of Japan's top class 150 million pieces per month.

Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, the company is increasing the number of orders for stockpiling from companies, schools, airports, etc., which had not had transactions until now.

Akihiro Oyama, president of Iris Ohyama, said, “The number of infected people who have calmed down once again tends to increase again, and demand for masks is steady. I feel that the production volume is still insufficient, so I would like to try to increase production” I was talking.
