Minister of Economy and Finance in the government of Edouard Philippe, Bruno Le Maire saw his portfolio grow with the reshuffle. Minister of Recovery in addition, he now pilot almost alone Bercy, since the departure of Gérald Darmanin for the Interior.

The new government is in working order. Among those who have taken the lead: Bruno Le Maire. He is no longer only Minister of Economy and Finance but also Minister of Recovery and now, Carole Ferry, almost the only master on board in Bercy.

It is not much: Gérald Darmanin was Minister of the Budget. Olivier Dussopt is him Minister Delegate for the Budget. He will therefore manage the public accounts well but it is Bruno Le Maire who will have the last word, where Gérald Darmanin had more room for maneuver.

A single captain to carry out the recovery. For this, all the offices are currently being redistributed within the liner Bercy. Before, you had Bruno Le Maire and Agnès Pannier-Runnacher on the 6th floor. Now you have Bruno Lemaire and the new SME gentleman, Alain Griset. Agnès Panier-Runnacher descends to the 3rd, traditionally the floor of Industry. From a practical and symbolic point of view, everything will therefore be played out there, on the 6th floor, the stage of the revival.

At the same time, you tell us that Bruno Le Maire will have the "final cut" on the budget, it's still quite a balancing act.

Let's say that he will have to maneuver skillfully, but at least he will be alone at the helm. And this is important because, if you have a chief who wants to finance the recovery on one side and a patron of public accounts who imposes the rigor of the other, well it is "I brake and I accelerate in same time ": result, we do not advance. There, there will be money on the table, financed by debt, no offense to the Court of Auditors. But in Bercy we insist: it will be money spent to invest, to allow the country to recover. In short, useful debt.

So we know what will be in this recovery plan?

So Bruno Le Maire knows this very well, because he's been preparing it for weeks. But the premiere of the announcements should return to Emmanuel Macron on July 14. One thing is certain, it will be a green stimulus. To be supported, companies will have to show their feet on the environment. There will also be measures in favor of thermal renovation of housing.

The objective of this revival will be to regain our sovereignty, by manufacturing the most essential products in France. Finally it will be tinged with solidarity. Bercy wants to show that it supports those who have been most affected economically by the crisis. The Minister of Economy, Finance AND Recovery, is therefore preparing to cross "alone at the controls" the Bermuda triangle. And it is he who will ultimately bear the responsibility for having led everyone to safety, or for having let the ship fail.
