The main Houthi strongholds, Sanaa, the capital, and Saada, a city in northern Yemen, were crushed by bombs from the Saudi air force. On their television channel, Al Massirah, the Houthi rebels speak of dozens of air raids and several victims.

In this confrontation which has lasted for five years, the two camps go back to back. This Saudi military operation, intervenes in response to Houthi aggressions, explains from Riyadh, Saudi colonel Turki al-Maliki spokesman for the Arab coalition.

Rebels regularly fire ballistic missiles and launch armed drones into Saudi territory. The Kingdom also accuses them of being supported by its great regional enemy: Iran.

In order to cut ties between the Islamic Republic and the Houthis, Riyadh imposed a triple embargo on Yemen: land, sea and air. Between bombing and blockade, the population is trapped. According to the United Nations, the country is experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world .
