While an exceptional system of partial unemployment was put in place in France during the confinement, unemployment benefits will be increased by 0.4% on July 1, according to Unedic, in charge of managing unemployment insurance in the country.  

Unemployment benefits will be increased by 0.4% on July 1, said Unédic in a statement following a board meeting held on Tuesday. This revaluation concerns 92% of job seekers receiving unemployment insurance benefits as of July 1, 2020, i.e. around 3 million people.
