The Employment Village, located in Paris, has enabled nearly 6,000 young graduates to launch their careers in the field of information systems for 20 years. This program was created to respond to a problem that many young graduates face when looking for their first job: lack of experience.

The Employment Village is the unique meeting of experts and employers to transmit to young graduates the expertise they lack and promote access to positions of confirmed level in the information systems sector. This program is based on a unique economic model allowing young graduates not to have to bear the cost of their training thanks to hiring from partner employers who sponsor the various programs. The various players in the Employment Village have lived a rich history, but have never abandoned the project, convinced of the potential of young graduates and of the great usefulness of this program for them, who would be deprived of a unique opportunity. if he disappears.

1998, the beginnings

1998 is the year of birth of the program at the origin of the Employment Village. It was designed by a young MIAGE graduate when he realized that, despite his degree in computer science, it was not so easy to find a job that lived up to his potential. Indeed, employers, swearing by experience, often relegate young graduates to thankless tasks of beginners. He then created a program based on four axes (technical axis, business axis, project axis and communication axis), to allow young graduates to assimilate expertise of several years in just a few months.

He is assisted in his mission by his family circle with the presence of his brother and two sisters, holders of a doctorate. This team will allow a generation of young graduates to have a professional future in the field of information systems. The company will unfortunately go bankrupt after having delegated to a partner the accounting part. A few years later, investors convinced by the basic idea of the project, will revive this unique initiative in the training sector.

2011, a size test

The arrival of investors has enabled the Employment Village program to develop significantly and launch hundreds of careers. A progression that suggested a bright future for this project. This was without counting on an event which overturned this progression in 2011. As in any success story, successes arouse jealousy and envy. Young graduates recruited by competing companies have tried to destabilize the reputation of the Employment Village by notably discrediting the teaching team. A court decision will have shed light on these current practices in the education sector.

This case was above all the illustration of the courage and the unfailing perseverance of the actors of the Employment Village, who have always continued to train and seek jobs for young graduates despite the circumstances, convinced that the project should continue at the risk of depriving many young graduates of a great career opportunity.

2019 and 2020, the years of all challenges

The years 2019 and 2020 were marked by many challenges: the yellow vests, the transport strikes, the Covid-19, but not only. A group of employer partners having endowed the program with an endowment of four million euros thus enables the Employment Village to provide young graduates with free expertise.

The investment made in these young graduates remains a gamble. In fact, in competitive sectors, employers who do not belong to the program unscrupulously poach young graduates recently trained by the Employment Village. Nevertheless proud of their method and their talents, the leaders of the Employment Village do not allow themselves to be destabilized by these actions.
