  On August 6, 2008, the S2 line was opened for operation, operating the Beijing North Station-Yanqing Station.

  On December 21, 2012, the S2 line extended to Shacheng Station in Huailai County, Hebei Province, operating sections Beijing North Station-Yanqing Station, Beijing North Station-Shacheng Station.

  On December 31, 2017, the city's sub-center line and Huairou-Miyun line opened for operation. Beijing West Railway Station-Tongzhou Station in the operation section of the urban sub-center line, Huangtudian Station-Huairou North Station in the operation section of the Huairou-Miyun Line.

  The Tongmi line utilizes the existing Beijing-Chengcheng line section, Huailian line and Jingtong line section, and runs suburban trains from Tongzhou West Station to Miyun North Station (main line) and Tongzhou West Station to Huairou North Station (branch line). The line has a total length of 83.4 kilometers and connects Tongzhou, Shunyi, Huairou and Miyun districts, with 7 stations including Tongzhou West Station, Shunyi Station, Niulanshan Station, Huairou Station, Miyun North Station, Yanqi Lake Station and Huairou North Station.
