In order to maximize the use of ore resources and protect the ecological environment, after a long-term research, a large-scale steel leading company in Xiangtan, Hunan Province, in the past year, successfully converted 150,000 tons of steel-making ash slag into treasure, achieving sales revenue of more than 100 million yuan .

　　A few days ago, in the Hunan Xianggang Ruixing Company's comprehensive resource utilization plant, the reporter saw that a newly introduced suction pressure delivery vehicle was transporting steel-making ash and slag to the factory building and into the ash silo. The factory director Tang Zhong told reporters that the dust produced by steelmaking can be processed to separate iron, zinc and other elements. Among them, iron, soybean steel, and iron scale are mixed and pressed into round cakes to make steel again.

　　We got a piece of tailings (steel slag). It should be said that it contains high levels of lead and zinc. It is a hazardous waste for our steel mill. It (for) that zinc smelter, it became a resource again.

　　【Explanation】It is reported that the ash produced by steel mills contains a large amount of minerals such as iron and carbon. It is a good raw material for blast furnace and converter steelmaking, but due to the high zinc content, it cannot be smelted. To this end, Xianggang Ruixing has been exploring the effective use of solid hazardous waste, and independently developed two patented technologies for comprehensive treatment of blast furnace dry dust removal ash and cold-pressed pellets for steelmaking, which can effectively solve Xianggang The problem of the disposal of about 150,000 tons of solid hazardous waste every year will prevent it from accumulating into mountains and destroying the ecological environment.
