The price of the yen on the Tokyo foreign exchange market on the 25th dropped.
The yen exchange rate as of 5 pm was 51 yen compared to the 24th, and the yen's depreciation against the dollar was 1 yen = 107.10 yen to 11 yen.
Compared to yesterday, it was 11 yen compared to yesterday, and the strong yen against the euro was 1 euro = 120.32 yen to 36 yen.
The euro was 35 dollars per euro = 1.1234 per dollar.
A market official said, "Since the number of people infected with the new coronavirus in the world is increasing again and the future is uncertain, there is a movement to secure a dollar at hand, especially in case of foreign investors. It is clear that the government will consider measures to increase tariffs on imported goods from the EU, and there are strong concerns about conflicts."
