Kobolev said that if their requirements are met, the secretariat of the energy community will most likely accuse the company of default and will take certification from the GTS operator.
“Then we will receive a letter from Gazprom demanding either to review or terminate the transit agreement,” he said in an interview with LIGA.net.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian GTS Operator, Sergey Makogon, commented on the likelihood of extending the contract for the transit of Russian gas after the expiration of a new five-year agreement.
At the end of 2019, Russia and Ukraine signed a gas transit agreement and agreed to resolve mutual claims.
