After delays caused by the Covid-19 and software problems, this new chapter will finally start in September with the delivery of the first copies. And the prices are known.
For its market introduction, the Volkswagen ID3 will first be offered in a special “1st”, “1st Plus” and “1st Max” edition limited to 30,000 copies worldwide. These top-of-the-range versions in terms of equipment are fitted with a 150 kW (204 hp) engine and a 58 kW intermediate battery, making it possible to space charges up to 420 kilometers. Later, when the series versions will be introduced, the customer can also opt for a 45 kWh (330 km maximum range) or 77 kWh (550 km) battery. All batteries are guaranteed at 70% of their capacity for 8 years.
The prices
The ID.3 "1st" will be offered at € 39,990 (excluding the € 7,000 bonus) with very complete equipment including in particular the navigation system, a DAB + digital radio, dual-zone air conditioning, the steering wheel and heated seats, and the fast charging socket up to 100 kW in direct current (up to 11 kW in alternating current). At € 44,990 (excluding the € 7,000 bonus), the “1st Plus” adds the rear view camera, the matrix LED headlights and the hands-free start, among others. Finally at € 49,990, the “1st Max” offers head-up display with augmented reality, semi-autonomous driving and massage seats. Ultimately, ID.3 should be offered in a basic version for less than € 30,000. The order books are open!
