The new M5 adopts the new styling codes of the 5 Series with, among other things, new shields, revised headlights or even a larger grille. However, the biggest innovations are mechanical. If the 4.4-liter 600-hp twin-turbo engine (625 hp in the Competition version) remains identical to the old version, BMW has just adapted the shock absorbers of the M8 Gran Coupé for better comfort, while the M5 Competition is approximates the ground by 7mm.
Equipped with an all-wheel drive including a 2WD mode, just to entertain the gallery during drift sessions, the M5 accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds, and even 3.3 seconds for the Competition version.
The new BMW M5 starts at € 123,000, the Competition version, which is sharper, is above all (very) significantly more expensive: € 132,200!
