The CEO of Operations at Emirates Airlines, Adel Al-Reda, said that the carrier will announce more destinations during the coming period after the UAE announced that citizens and residents will be allowed to travel to specific destinations according to conditions.

Al-Rida added in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV today that the carrier will operate additional flights at the beginning of next July based on the new list of destinations and after obtaining the necessary approvals from the competent authorities.

He stated that more countries started to ease travel restrictions and precautionary measures that they had taken after the outbreak of the virus, noting that with the opening of new destinations there will be precautionary requirements and procedures that will be applied before traveling and upon arrival in the country.

Al-Reda indicated that a coordination meeting will be held to discuss these requirements and be informed of developments.

He pointed out that building air bridges between destinations is important, so that the same standards for operating procedures are agreed upon even without the application of quarantine requirements, noting that discussion has started with some countries in Europe, explaining that the matter needs to be agreed and agreed between countries on these procedures .

He said that next July will constitute a testing period for all sectors, including aviation and levels of demand for air transport.

He explained that "Emirates Airlines" has announced the operation of 30 international destinations starting from June 15th, pointing out that the rate of reservations on these flights has increased positively.
