Sustainable benefits Over ¥2 trillion Primary supplementary budget frame will be used up soon June 16 4:55

The total amount of “sustainable benefits” for small and medium-sized enterprises has exceeded 2 trillion yen. With the budget for the first supplementary budget expected to be exhausted soon, the government will continue to use the additional budgetary budgets included in the second supplementary budget to aim for early payment.

Sustainable benefit is a maximum of 2 million yen for SMEs and sole proprietors whose sales have been reduced by 50% or more due to the new coronavirus.

So far, we have received more than 2.60 million applications, and of these we have provided more than 1.51 million applications, so the total amount of payment has exceeded 2 trillion yen.

Approximately 2.2 trillion yen was recorded for the sustainable benefit in the first supplementary budget, excluding the consignment cost, but it is expected that the budget will be exhausted within one month after the payment starts.

For this reason, the government is aiming for early payment by using the additional budget of 1.940 trillion yen, which was included in the second supplementary budget just established last week.

In addition, the additional budget includes the amount of newly established businesses that are newly included in the budget, and it is necessary to upgrade the system and expand the examination system. We will also proceed with the procedure.
