the government's plan to promote the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was criticized for promoting only words, the president recently ordered a full review. However, there was no mention of another hot potato, or chronic disease, belonging to the Centers for Disease Control or Welfare.

It was confirmed that the differences in views between the President's Direct Policy Planning Committee and the Ministry of Health and Welfare were not narrowed.

It is an organizational chart of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Here, the Disease Policy Division is in charge of 29 tasks including infectious diseases and chronic diseases.


A member of the President's Direct Policy Planning Committee said that opinions were gathered to move all chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cancer to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, along with infectious diseases.

However, it was reported that the Ministry of Health and Welfare is still considering the three tasks related to infectious diseases in the Division of Disease Policy, and the other departments of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.


The positions are different.

There are many opinions in the medical community that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention must manage infectious and chronic diseases.
