Pablo Isla, president of Inditex, has called for the reconstruction of the economy to be supported by political consensus and among the social partners as a basis to emerge from the most serious crisis suffered in decades. Isla has opened, together with the president of Mercadona, Juan Roig and the president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, the Spanish companies conference leading the future with which the employers want Spanish employers to make their opinions heard about the strategy to resolve the situation economic.

Roig has warned that, once the worst of the health crisis has been overcome, the hardest thing comes in the economic stage and that in this sense employers should be seen as generators of wealth. For her part, Isla has stressed that the decisions made in this regard should start from conversations between the Government, unions and the businessmen themselves in the field of social dialogue, as is being carried out in parallel to the business forum to decide on the extension.

The President of Inditex has advanced in this regard what is a unanimous opinion among employers, which is precisely to extend the ERTE that affect 3 million workers and hundreds of thousands of companies, in the most flexible way possible. This point has been demanding CEOE over the past two months and the scheme that the Government approved last May generated some unease in CEOE. "You have to run away from dogmatism," Isla has asked.
